Janee Sellers - Chief Strategy Officer
Janee Sellers is a founding member and acting Chief Strategy Officer at DeltaX Propulsion, a company developing next-generation electrospray propulsion systems for small and CubeSat platforms. In her role, she bridges the technological and operational sides of the business, guiding both strategic development and technical execution as DeltaX works to make in-space mobility more accessible and affordable.
Janee has been deeply involved in the advancement of DeltaX’s core technology—the carbon-aerogel electrospray thruster—for which she is a co-inventor. Her technical insight and adaptability have helped shape the company’s approach to scalable propulsion solutions that meet the evolving needs of the aerospace industry. She has also represented DeltaX at industry and government-focused initiatives, including the Tulsa Bootcamp, where she presented the company’s vision to an audience of aerospace professionals and government stakeholders.
Before co-founding DeltaX, Janee completed a business program with Globe Business College in Germany, where she developed a strong foundation in business strategy and international operations. Her interdisciplinary approach, combining material science and business acumen, supports DeltaX’s broader mission: to foster innovation in American material science and drive the growth of the commercial space sector.
Outside of her work with DeltaX, Janee is passionate about building pathways for young innovators to contribute meaningfully to emerging technologies and the future of space exploration.
Dr. Matthew Bamidele, Ph.D. - Founding Research Scientist
Dr. Matthew Bamidele is a materials scientist and engineer with experience in advanced materials design and characterization for sustainable energy technologies. At DeltaX Propulsion Inc., he leads materials innovation for the company’s next-generation electrospray thruster systems, focusing on the development of high-performance carbon aerogel emitters and nanostructured composites that enable scalable, high-efficiency electric propulsion for small satellites and space platforms.
Dr. Bamidele earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Oklahoma State University (OSU), where his work centered on the design and characterization of halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs), a next-generation photovoltaic technology. His work introduced novel strategies for enhancing PSC stability through compositional engineering, surface passivation, and lead-free formulations, advancing sustainable solar technologies.
His broader research spans radiation-hardened electronics, thin-film semiconductors, and materials characterization, supported in part by NASA’s EPSCoR program. Dr. Bamidele has also contributed to collaborative projects focused on materials optimization and performance enhancement under space-relevant conditions.
Before joining OSU’s School of Materials Science and Engineering, Dr. Bamidele earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Ibadan and Oklahoma State University, respectively. He has previously served as an instructor and researcher across multiple universities, with prior work spanning surface chemistry, protein biophysics, and chemometrics.
At DeltaX, Dr. Bamidele combines academic rigor with entrepreneurial innovation, driving the company’s materials R&D toward breakthroughs in carbon aerogel fabrication, emitter longevity, and propulsion efficiency. His efforts support DeltaX’s mission to enable miniaturized, cost-effective, and high-thrust propulsion systems for the next generation of space exploration and satellite mobility.
